Introduction

The new ward is a cutting-edge renal specialist unit equipped with advanced intensive care pods designed to treat critically ill patients. The intensive care section is split into two areas. The first consists of five hermetically sealed, pressurised bays, each capable of accommodating two patients and fitted with dedicated life-support systems. The second area is an open-plan space with several critical care beds, separated by standard curtains, used for routine procedures and dialysis treatment.

The critical care unit manages severe trauma cases, where a key priority is maintaining patient dignity during emergencies, including ensuring that nearby bays are shielded from direct visibility of intensive care interventions.

Between Glass Blinds

Fixed screens divide the ward into individual high-dependency areas. When the doors are closed and secured, they create a fully airtight environment, helping to prevent the spread of potentially hazardous substances. For added patient privacy during procedures, motorised blinds within the double-glazed panels can be easily raised, lowered, or adjusted using a simple wall-mounted control.
